Once the Bear was dead and in no position to fight back, she lost interest. But it has nothing to do with Bears. It could be a turtle for that matter. It has to do with attacking Elena.
Lilith on many occasions had to calm down or magically subdue Elena when she felt her sword should drink deep of enemy blood.
