Many of us learned these two important rules for a healthy relationship:
1. A woman is never wrong.
2. If a woman is found to be wrong, refer to #1.

"FD3 will not be free any time soon. I am putting more focus on serving the members that are willing to help support the making of the games by donating."

Basically, we can all interpret this to mean, the party's over. You don't pay, you don't play.
Another instance of a guy who started out doing things because he wanted to give people enjoyment, now becoming a "businessman."
I realize that websites aren't free, and these games are enjoyable, to a point.
But the attitude I see on that site lately convinces me it's time to look elsewhere for adult entertainment.

i'm not a big buying players too. the only places i pay is Puso site. i paid one month of Lagoon with a prepaid credit card i receive as a Birthday gift. so, i know how you must feel, because i'm in the same position as all of you are. the worst is, i can do better with a broken leg (no work possible for me for another 3 months).

a site server free is truly bad as a corrupted vodka, you never know what will happen if you use it, so to keep your great work in a safe place, you must pay the service. nobody is rich enough to provide free service with his own money, if you can, let us know, im sure a lot of game creator should be interrested.

As I understand it, shark is a part time games creator who needs extra financial assistance to keep his site and server(s) running, whereas Puso is a full time artist who makes his living out of his art and games. Both have decided to make contributions to view their newest games a means of helping to offset their costs, having failed to gain enough from voluntary subscriptions. Anyone querying this should first ask themselves, why should these artists have to go short of money in order to provide interested viewers/players free access to their work? If you want free access you have all their earlier work available, they aren't charging entry to the entire site like some crap sites do.

My only criticism in this respect is of shark's approach where he only allows a month for a fixed fee, whereas Puso provides Elite membership for a much longer period and for an amount that can be negotiable, but I reckon it's their site so it's their decision. Decide to drop either site because they are taking a slight "business" approach and it's your loss.

Finally its a question everyone must answer to his-/herself: is the value i get from paying money ok for me? Do i want this (what i get) so bad that i will pay for it?

From the artists side - i fully agree with Greebo.
Most of us knows or can imagine how much work, creativity, TIME it takes to create a small game which is played through in 20~30minutes.
Like cooking: satnding there in that kitchen for half the day, and then its eaten up in a few minutes.... ;)

Keeping the site running is not for free, too.
So, a little benefit every now and then if one can afford it...

Let me clarify that I wasn't complaining about the fact that he wants to make some money off his games. As far as I know it's also a part time thing for Puso, but I might be wrong. That aside, I think it's curious at the very least that he went from wanting to release the previous game for free, to postponing everything free until further notice. To me, that sounds a little bit like "I want more money", put crudely. Chaotic is a good example of how that thought can go in the wrong way.
But yes, why would any developer give away stuff for free? One very simple answer: Marketing, word of mouth is the single most powerful marketing tool in the world. For example, merely a single discussion thread on here about a game by Pusooy gets thousands of views. Most are probably familiar with Pusooy, but every single new player becomes a possible contributor. Even though the people discussing in such a thread may never contribute (such as me, I simply don't have the money). It's a simple example of how people playing the free games can bring in new contributors (and of course there are other ways this could happen). To elaborate the point I made earlier, I think by releasing less free content the frequency with which this happens is likely to decrease, i.e. he might just be cutting his own fingers. And as far as I can tell his main source of income will be those new players (the older ones either already have contributed or simply won't).
But once again, I can't pretend this is an unbiased opinion.

Puso charge you (it's not a fee, it's a donation) of $10 us for 6 months, did you think he do that to live with hes game ??? the way, i see it, it's mostly to cover his server fee !!
