Though some members keep telling newcomers that the language does not matter because of the translation services available I still think that you can reach the broadest audience when you write English.
We had this discussion before and thus I know I'm not the only one skipping non-English posts.

On the other hand, we could use this opportunity and repeat some of the french we have learned at school in former days, and en passant pay respect to the owner of the site, and to a language that has shaped Europe over many centuries.

What about that?

That really depends on the time you spend in this forum. I can only speak for myself and it may be around 10 minutes/day. Not enough for me to learn another language.
Don't take me wrong. This forum does not insist on any language but I think it's worth while and fair enough mentioning that there are members who don't read French and are too lazy to translate each post.
For sure French has its history but still the most used language in the internet is English followed by Chinese and Spanish.

I'm not disturbed if ppl here are writing in french or in english.... i'm french and did a lot of progress in english on internet with a small dictionary for words i miss, and try to use translators as well...

For those to hurried or lazy to try a translation I say it is their loss. You find "Simpathy" in Websters; between "Shit" and "Syphilis".

I'm pleased you liked it.
The question is "Will it translate?"

We are straying from the intent of this thread! I'm guilty also.

Welcome chabadawolf! I do not know the French language however, I do use Google Translation. This seems to be the most reliable for me. I do read over the various threads here in the Lagoon using the Google tool. I learn more by reading these threads. The members are friendly and are willing to help both with Shark's Games and interaction here in this Forum.

I agree with you 100 percent on your comment about Cloe'. She prowls this Lagoon, welcoming all new members with her own personal message. This alone says alot about her. Respect her and stay on her Mermaid's "Good Side". Everyone here, especially me, has a deep respect and affection for our little mermaid in Shark's Lagoon.

Sois le bienvenu, Dixi! :) Dis-moi, cette histoire de rafraichir la langue... ça me fais penser que tu es bien français... :na: Après tout les français sont très fameux dans le monde entier à cause d'une utilisation intensive de la langue, donc ça brûle... :D

À plus!
