So close.

You are at the end of Taylor's path. I thought I had added the text for her but it seems I forgot.
Two things can be blocking your progress with Lara.
Have you uploaded the pictures for the last photo shoot with Lara?
You need to have surfed the internet enough to get past foreplay.
If you have those two checked you should get an event in the restaurant at some point. I hope that helps.

On the map, are the lounge and alley supposed to be on a higher floor then the lobby, entry and restaurant?

The map was designed to be flat and easy to navigate when seen from a certain angle. I have no idea why it decided to place items on the same floor on different levels. Fixed for next version.

First choices saved to seed the next game.
More work opportunities.

Going well. The next release will contain more overall story content then is in the game at this point. Closer to making sense.

On a slightly related note. I have lost an hour or two on The Witness. Is a lovely game. It does not affect development that much as I am between freelance projects at the moment (read unemployed) and I can't code porn 16 hours a day

Just playing through 0.26, the last release I played was 0.16.

I still get pretty lost at times with actions only triggering after another has been triggered and not indication that you are asking the right questions unless the time comes when they are the right questions. Aside from that I am enjoying the new stories so far!

I've only progressed with Lara and Gem so far as well as meeting the chef and starlet briefly.

I've fixed the restaurant but so far have no other interactions with Daisy. I'm guessing I need to progress more with Gem and Lara but am not sure.

Also found a typo in the first shoot with Lara:

"Good morning. Where do you want my to set up?"

If you have specific cases where you had to ask questions that did not make sense please let me know. I am trying to have every player started conversation make sense at least. By that I mean when you have to ask a character something or use a specific command like buy you should have en idea from text hints or past events what to do.
There are a lot of random events that do not require any player action (other then walking into the right place at the right time) and these are meant to be stumbled across just like in real life. Most of them are designed with the thought that if you want to progress with X character you either will get a hint from an event in a common area like the reception, lounge or restaurant or you have to check where a character hangs out at specific times. Again please let me know if specific cases seem too weird.

-If you have completed the restaurant cleanup you might want to check the restaurant again during the evening.

I can't think of anything aside from feeling helpless in general before getting into the swing of the game. Even though this is my second play through I found it odd when you could ask charaters things like their name or about themself and asking others the same would get a "they don't understand" reply. This has been improved since the last version I played at least. I think more dialogue especially from staff could fill in what it is that you need to do next. I do admit that once I get into the swing of the game I just explore every room at every time, but at the start this is hard to do because of work requirements and money meaning a lot more. I guess this is a natural progression though. It is nice as more characters get stories how often the events pop up. I guess what I saying could help is some general chat with employees mainly. Some of it useful, some of it just a distraction for padding which both fleshes out the world and makes finding the right thing to do even harder due to sheer amount of content. Sorry I can't give any examples of when I found it lacking.

Anyway I am progressing well and have finished the paths of Gem, Angela and got to the new scenes with Taylor and Lara.

Great stuff. You are getting closer.

I do agree that conversations are lacking. Right now I am only adding subjects if it is linked to a problem or has been brought up in conversations. I am planning on going back and add basic conversations like asking about any other character but am waiting until I have implemented the once that are hard linked to progression so I can fill in the flavor gaps. (As in asking the receptionist about the model is a progression link but asking any other character about the model is not, so once I am sure none of the other characters need to answer something important I can add small flavor conversations to the rest.)

As you mention more events trigger as you unlock more characters and I add more paths. The goal from a design standpoint is to have the start be easy with few options and some hand holding. Then It should branch out into many events as all characters become available with a mix of difficulty but always something to do. Towards the end it will again narrow in on a more guided path when they all converge.

Good to hear. I guess a problem I'm having is that I always have the doubt in my head whether I am meant to ask someone about something or just be somewhere at a time of day. Later on it seem to be purely the latter unless someone prompts you to ask someone about something/someone, but because it happened earlier in the game I still doubt whether I have to do it again. The fact that it hardly ever works or does anything in normal situations is what makes it frustrating to know when and how to do it.

I have finished everyones paths (even scruffy's!) except for Lara's and (i think) Rain's. Can I please get some help with where I might be going wrong with Lara?

I'm pretty sure there was no 0 in there a while ago since I took note of there finally being no 0's so I'm not sure if that means a new character has been unlocked or what. Oh and my S is 1 and X 13 if that matters.

I walked to the club and a scene has started. I didn't think to do this as two other times I have tried to go there unprompted ended up in being able to do nothing.

You bring up a good point about knowing when to ask about stuff. I might have to look at the start steps as I am not sure there are hints to asking characters about their names for instance but some of the paths require you to do this on your own. Righty.

I take it you from your edit that you got past the block. If not let me know.

Regarding the club. I am not sure it made it into 0.26 but I have added comments from the bouncers if you go to the club when you need to fix the equipment and haven't done it yet but I forgot to add a hint about Lara not performing until you have fixed the situation with Daisy. Should make it more clear where to focus.

in Frey's roof scene
"strap-ons are a good and all. But the real deal" - could make this one sentence "all, but"
