Elizabeth (born Anna DeWitt) is from the game Bioshock infinite. She has the power to manipulate tears that exist in the fabric of time.
Meaning she can open portals between realities. She lost part of the pinky as a baby when she was brought through such a portal.
The story is complicated, but due to a delay, part of her hand was still in the portal when it closed, causing her pinky to be severed.

The pinky is in fact an important part of the story. There are few game characters who has such depth and a loving quality to their
personalities as she has. 2K Games who developed the game are good writers.

the pinky is a major plot spoiler for anyone who hasn't finished that game yet, so for those interested in playing Bioshock infinite . Do not look any further on the subject of the pinky, cause Rastifan did leave still alot of the spoilers out. But i agree there is so much depth to Elizabeth and the game itself, for me it was 1 of the top games of 2013. Personally the best i thought was The last of us.
