There's two different cultures, trying to appreciate the same art form. The original story line concepts, work great for the Japanese culture. Which has a myriad of paradox's, in which these games do make sense. Understanding, to a small degree, those paradoxes. I can enjoy the visuals, and appreciate the seemingly bizarre conversation, by Western standards.
I guess I am a traditionalist when it comes to the anime games. Here's what I mean by a difference in style, and substance. I am pretty sure this character, might be the same. But from two different games, but released at different times.

You are right, have a staff writer, that's can rewrite the dialog, is a very good idea.
