The lagooners will not forget him...

Postby shark » Mon, 12Nov05 15:03

The Lagoon honours the passing of Arnulf the Giant in early January 2012.
He served our Community well as a Moderator as well as contributing video walkthroughs for many of "Shark's Games".
He befriend many a Lagooner personally or just on-line. He will be sadly missed.

Let's be sure the mermaids have welcomed him with dignity in the depths of the lagoon...

I too am stunned!

I did not know him personally nor had dealt with him directly...BUT I did know he was gentle and kind and had a wonderful reputation and contributed enormously in our fantastic community. This really saddens me...

It's been a very long time but I think Shark, Cloé, and Arnulf were the first to welcome me to the lagoon. And Dear Arnulf was so taken with my avatar that he modified her. If you look closely under her right breast, you'll see a small disturbance. The original shows headset wiring moving across her breast while she dances. Arnulf spent his time and expertise to remove that wire. He was always helpful whenever anyone had a problem.
He was truly a special, gentle, giant.
You will be missed my friend.

I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of our friend. Arnulf's contributions and connections to this community will be long remembered. I think there will always be a spot in the heart of the lagoon where he will remain.

RIP my friend!

When I first came to the Lagoon we had a different home.
At that place Arnulf the Giant had the title "Great Master of Corals" which was, and still is, worthy of his overall mark upon our Community.

I did learn from him and on one occasion he taught me a little download trick from which I continue to benefit.

Not only will we miss his valued contributions here but he did have an involvement with Pusooy where we can be certain that his contributions there will also be sadly missed.

Oh, this is a shock to be sure -- how come we have only just heard, if he died in January? I knew he hadn't been on the forum for ages, but I thought he was just sick and not up to doing the excellent games translations and walkthroughs anymore. Many times I've wondered when we would hear from him again and now we never will.

Now I've checked back I realise that it was a good 18 months ago that I collaborated with him on the English version of "Double Sick" by Josefus -- it was a pleasure working with him, even though it only involved a few short emails.

Hail and farewell, Gernot, I will remember you.

Sad news indeed. Hope his memory is always kept alive here - he was a TRUE friend to all lagooners.

Hello Arnulf!

I'm going to say something that perhaps I should have said years ago.
You were the first guy in the Lagoon that I started to admire, while still a lurker. And you know why? Because you were the good giant always ready to help the others!
Rest in peace, my friend!
