Another cheat : copy and paste the URL into a non popup window. Sometimes it's pretty obvious how to change it for a better result. [img]kator/smyley2.gif[/img]

I suppose the only way to have this genuinely cheat proof would be to have it in flash.

What is the problem with using cheats? You can cheat in almost EVERY game. Most developers add cheats on purpose. I think most users will play the game at first without cheats and only use them to see all the good endings. Otherwise it would be very time consuming and you would have to do the same steps lots of times.

I's suggest you to use some variables in Javascrïpt, maybe a "happiness-counter". So Crystal happiness will be decreased when you loose at the Casino or she dislikes your job. With this option you can continue the game after a wrong decision but Crystal won't be in the mood to have sex with you at the end of the game.
This also prevents cheating: The back-button brings you to the previous HTML-page, but it does not undo the decrement of the variable

I have no problem with cheats, in fact I'm pretty sure I just gave you an extra one.

It's just a little weird to see so much emphasis on it. I have a 'cracked' version of the game I use for bug testing if people want that instead. You can just use it like the old version.

Actually, cheating is already available
When I'm stick in a wrong situation, I use 2 tips to continue.

First, And as already said, I copy the pop up link into my browser, so I can use the arrows to resume previous situations.

And, If I'm very stick, I change the last part of the url of the current scene with another.

For example, If I'm stick in a scene quotes 20, I'll try 21 or 22. Oftenly, That's a good solution.

Wrong, Chaotic! People could always bypass it using Swiff player...

Advice to Chaotic: Don't even bother. People WILL find ways around anything. Actually, for some people, finding such ways is a game on itself... Better concentrate on having a good game than waste valuable neurons in trying to get people not to cheat.

Because, you know, I'd rather cheat my way through a good game than play a boring one


On that thought... Maybe you should have given us a wee bit of story-branching in the boat path. It's from beguining to end a "next pic or game end" tale with only one path. You might want to give a few other things to do in the ship.

This game is *NOT* that hard & does not take that long to play. Why all anyone wants to do is cheat to make it easier/faster is Being able to start again from a check-point as opposed to going all the way back to the beginning is a nice touch.
