Normville High

Probably a combination of native stupidity and escalating senility but I find myself completely stuck in this adrift game.

I found my own way to Samantha's sitting room and managed to kiss her but am now hitting virtual brick walls. :??:

The AIF website is of no help at all and searching the lagoon doesn't come up with any existing threads, :(

Could one of our brilliant lagooners waste time to give some sort of hint? :16:

well the 1st thing that came up for me when searching for the game was a really really really small walkthrough. But it excludes quiote a bit of commands for the happy stuff. But as i guess you want hints i'll try to drop em below in order of appearance. Be aware some are just not cryptic as i suck at making up riddles. So i just do not link the commands "evil grin" Did the game myself once with help of that really really really small WT wich excludes quite a bit. Came out with a score of 14/3x for got the number at the x but i beleive it was in the 30-39 range

i think you already had this part but do it anyway
More of a hint: You can interact in some way with the TV, but your lazy you need a remote. And even when you find that remote it needs batteries. The cabinet you cannot reach you need to stand on something. And where do you usually find small change

after kiss
Now its time to lose some weight. After that interaction time with Samantha (toes are viable such are the peaks on the twin mountains)

done?

Very many thanks but still too stupid to get beyond kiss.
Whatever I try the best I can get is "strip first" and all attempts at strip unbutton lift are blanked.

Very many thanks, skelaturi, for wasting your time on this.
I agree about pictures, I had been scratching around AIF news whilst waiting for Palmer.
I have tried all the variations of strip undress and the AIF verb variations, it would seem that this game was so insignificent
that no proper w.t. has appeared. It is doubly insulting to find the "official" walkthrough finds my "brick wall" so obvious as to need no comment.

Is this the "official" walk-through your are talking about?

Yes that is the one. The sudden brevity coupled with my stupidity is agravating.

Did you download the game ZIP file from the walk-through site or do you have the game ZIP file from BBen's games site, which includes a txt file with information that may (or may not) help you.

Downloaded from both sites and have read BBen's WT.
According to BBen you can x or look at body parts clothed or naked but I can't.
BBen's WT goes from kiss to rub but I get "strip first" and "talk to" just gets a flat "no"
Would be inclined to write it off as "AIF strikes again" but BBen's expertise makes me think it must be me.

This is an older game (2004), so it was written using an older version of ADRIFT.

After some debugging using the walk-through combined with the sex-scene commands in BBen's readme file I have determined that using the command suggested by the in-game text causes an error, this is because there is a bug in that command when run on recent versions of ADRIFT.
(* it wants you to be in both the lounge room and bedroom at the same time, which of course is not possible!)

I got the game to work correctly using v3.9.20 (which I still had installed), though it may also work with v4.0.53 but I don't have that version installed.
Both of these versions are available from the ADRIFT download site

Cracked it !!!
Almost worth the hassle, for me I found the "strip" a little brutal and that a little unbuttoning and lifting
would be an improvement - just my kink.
Thanks to greyelf for help.
Just another example of the superiority of the lagoon
