My dear Cloé, I have well understood your abbreviations. In Vienna we have a lot of words, directly imported from the French language, because Napoleon has occupied the Austrian area.
During this time many French words have been made popular in Austria and especially in Vienna. One of them is "rendez vous" for a date. We say "Trottoir", "Lavoir" and "Plafond" and some things more. The spelling of some words has changed very much. So we say: "Kelerittel" for a watch, with comes from: "quelle heure il est" or "Potschamperl" for a chamber pot, "pot de chambre". At a funeral, we call the pallbearers "Pomfeneberer", which comes from "pomp funèbre".
My comment to your post, which you and Luke could not understand has only to do with the time
, when you wrote your message about a date in PM.
Since it is very usual for you to give and get kisses, I 'll also give you some of them, coming really from my heart!
