I read all his books as they came out - excellent writing that beats C S Forester and Alexander Kent into a cocked hat ( )
I love the interactions between Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin and the naval stories are handled much better than Hornblower et al

(Pity the film was such a mishmash of two chronologically disparate books, although Russell Crowe made a surprisingly good fist of playing Jack Aubrey)

Setting that aside, I have much sympathy with Italian87 - I'm suffering Milly withdrawal symptoms despite RKS giving us a nice little story featuring her doppelganger!

Assuming you're talking about Milly (not Patrick O'Brien books) see a current update from RKShooter at viewtopic.php?p=39703#p39703

You will find all of Milly, up to Milly38 at the time of this comment, at "Shark's Lagoon", use the "Milly" button or beginning at this page http://sharks-lagoon.fr/Milly/MillyUS1.html

See viewtopic.php?p=39703#p39703 where rkshooter clearly explains his situation at the time (10th June) Obviously Episode 39 is likely to be a while yet.

I am on the cusp of issuing warnings for these. I need clearance from Shark first. IMO there is no reason for these pleas!!!

It would be nice if the fans of these series could show their appreciation with something other than "More, MORE, MOAR!!"

I don't think the occasional plaintive cry of "Where's Milly!" should be ruled out, since it lets RKS know that some of Milly's fans, and those who like his work, are still alive and in need of a fix. (Me! Me! Milly where are you!)

The main problem arises when the pleas start coming too close together, like a flickering, faulty fluorescent sign.
