Our boys were supposed to be in with a chance until they came up empty against shark's compatriots in the first half of their game, and the second half wasn't good enough to pull it back. As ScoobyDoo might have said, "Oh Rugger!" :(

It's pity that the European teams are brought together so early . I would have loved to see the red rose team vs all-blacks...

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear shark! Through to the final, but who really deserved to be there? Good luck against the All Blacks -- your team will need it if they haven't used it all up against the better team!

Today, the blacks were impressive vs the Australians!… The important is that the rugby celebration is a success.

Internet at my location is very slow and haven't had much chance to connect.

I noted the Wallabies went "wobbly", que sera. Interestingly though, in the Rugby League over here the Aussies beat the Kiwis convincingly. There was some speculation that the New Zealanders would have prized that more than winning the World Cup. Some of our NZ folk may debate that however.

I won't be back on "home soil" for about 2 more weeks.

Oh dear, what a change of fortunes for Piri Weepu! The All Blacks were lucky to get away with his mistake that enabled the brilliant Thierry Dusautoir to score and Trinh-Duc to convert. By all accounts France were much better than in their lamentable game against the Welsh.

Ah! My son-in-law expressed Aussie sentiments well:
"We really hate the Kiwis [in sport that is] but when the Aussies aren't there, who do we rout for?"
