Normally you aren't allowed to do that. So that should not be a problem.
@luke, the problem is that he can't uninstall the game. If I remember correctly ccleaner (or crap cleaner as he already mentioned) doesn't remove programs for the installed software list. For that you need to remove the keys on the places I mentioned in my first post.

" FORMAT C:/ " is also an excellent method.

Shark, I just tried your advice:
C:Documents and SettingsAdministrator>format c:
Invalid drive specification.

So I tried a different approach.

C:Documents and SettingsAdministrator>format c:
The type of the file system is NTFS.

WARNING, ALL DATA ON NON-REMOVABLE DISK
DRIVE C: WILL BE LOST!
Proceed with Format (Y/N)? y
Verifying 3153M

Format cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Format may run if this volume is dismounted first.
ALL OPENED HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID.
Would you like to force a dismount on this volume? (Y/N) y
Cannot lock the drive. The volume is still in use.

Any suggestions on how I could fix this?

I've used that code many times... but always with A:

Actually I recently reformatted a flash drive that Vista caused to be unreadable.

Yes, of course. Just follow the five simple steps:
[*]1. Download a Live Linux image (e.g. Knoppix or any other linux will do) and burn the image to a (bootable) CD. (This will be the very last thing you do from your Micro$oft Wind-something).
[*]2. Reboot your system from the CD (press hard reset, no need for shutdown anymore :))
[*]3. Log in as root and type into the console: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda
[*]4. Have a beer (this could take some time, but you can be sure that you have destroyed the content of your hard disk immediately 500 msec after pressing the return key).
[*]5. Now go and install a real operating system.

Herr qbv8
It sounds as though you don't care for microshaft.

I ought to have explained I have microxp installed inside virtualbox under linux and my laptop does not have a working cd-drive. So unfortunately I can't follow your steps, qbv8.
By the way I would suggest slitaz or dsl for the purpose. They are much smaller.
And Shark, a hammer does not have much effect on a virtual drive. I tried a virtual hammer but I can't make it hit the virtual drive. It's not implemented.

Hey coder, virtual box under Linux is even simpler: just use /bin/rm on the right image ... :)

I think yes, but i'm not sure.

When i said "uninstall the game", it's by the shortcut created when the game is installed, or by the add/suppress program menu in the configuration panel.

The problem is both of them do not work, since the corresponding registry key is corrupt. I've had similar problems in the past.
To be 100% sure I just tested it. When removing a directory from an installed program. Cclean does not remove the registry entries.

I just remembered this program.. I strongly advice you not to use it for anything but removing the program from you installed programs list. And you only should do this, of course, if you can't uninstall it in any other way. This is the last freeware version they made.
