What type of woman.......... hmmm............... The most important aspects, to me, are beauty, intelligence, wit (more than just wit... I have a broad sense of humor and would like for her to be as open to slapstick as she is to dry wit). A woman who speaks her mind and listens with an open mind. A woman who can be my friend as well as my lover. One other item that is not negotiable. She must be a woman who accepts that is actually IS possible for men an women to be friends. WHYYYYYY is that important, you may ask. Go ahead. Ask. It is important because my best friend in this universe is a woman. I have known her since high school. And, were I to find that special woman and actually go down on bended knee, that woman would need to have that male/female friendship philosophy or she may not be particularly pleased who my "Best Man" is at the wedding.

On the concept of beauty: While I find it important, I must state that my own personal definition of beautiful does not fit into any mold. I can honestly look at two different women -- different as day and night -- and be able to say that each is beautiful... and not just to score points, but because, in my eye, each has her beauty. I cannot say that I believe every woman in the world is beautiful. But I do know that there are women I have encountered in my life who would not be considered by most as beautiful (cute, maybe, but...) but who did stop my eyes and caused me to pause... and smile. One quick sample. Most would consider Kathrine Hepburn to be... an handsome woman, not beautiful. For me, even in her later years, she was beautiful................. Sorry............ lost my train of thought..........
