This =) agree 100% and it's the best way to sum it up =)

I have to say that Mortze work is outstanding and trust me there a lot of talent guys out there doing this kind of games (or trying) and some of them are really good (I can mention some LOP games, some art work for newer rpg games such as Lily of the Valley, Sarah's life, Road Trip, amongst others) but the thing is that Mortze's work is one of the very few that we can almost believe it's a Picture or a (possible) real person and that's amazing :) his country is a small one but has a lot of talented individuals in several areas =P again, Mortze és o maior =)

As for the rest, there are also some really good games based on their stories, even though the images are not as good as the ones mentioned before as Brad's Erotic Week, Carla, One night with Caroline, something's in the air (this one the images as well), some games from VDG or Gobliboy's games but, at least in my opinion they are also good games because of their story, which is the most interesting part. Tlaero takes this to whole new level and even though it's a fantasy or fiction we can actually be "transported" or incorporated in the characters and story and feels like we want to be there or that for a while we actually are which is (I believe) the ultimate goal for a writer.

Now try to combine these 2 and the result can only be amazing and the games are the living proof of this. Best games in the genre by far =)

Also, directly to you Tlaero you have something different about all this. You try to reply all the messages you receive, good and not so good (which I'll never understand this concept over the internet) and, judging by what you write you're always receptive to new ideas and interested in other game creators work and I can see that you learn from them as well and all of this without replying badly or putting others Down (even if some deserve it though). This is uncommon and I can tell that other than being a fantastic writer, passionate about this and great game producer you are genuinely a good person. And that shows in your games and in your replies and that's why your games are the best for a lot of people.

This is much more valuable than talent wich you have enough to give =)

Thank you for your games and Thanks to Mortze to help you create them as good as they are. You guys are the best team and keep it up =)

Tlareo,

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comments and giving me some insight into your writing method! I will take your advice to heart.

I agree that Miranda is the best female protagonist thus far. She has the strongest will and has more direct and take charge attitude while at the same time she is in pain and vulnerable. Each game stands strong on their own personal merits and it’s an individual’s preferences that cause them to prefer one next to another as you say.

Mortze wrote:There was a double intent in having Miranda change her hair and cloths so much. I didn't use different make up sets, just ON and OFF.
The first was to portray her inconsistency or undefined identity. She is lost and so can't adhere to a consistent style.
The second was to add realism indeed. Look around you, you don't see the same people with the same clothes and even hair (women mostly) every single day.

I agree. I think you pulled this off well.

I didn't support you with my money, but I highly cherish your work, so, even if it is only a symbolic gesture, I won't play this game until its supposed date of release, since I wouldn't have, without those people. I'll take it as a christmas gift :)

Carloimbonati, I appreciate what you're trying to do here, but there's no reason to wait. Feel free to play it now.

Tlaero

Well. Since you "gave me your permission" I did play it. I am weak indeed.
And I have really enjoyed it.
I must admit, since I'm more into the story and I don't want to lose bits on the way, I used a walkthrough, so I can judge only one of the possible path, but the one I choose was really good.
As usual I have to say that your games, tlaero & mortze, are, without any doubt, the best of the line. Maybe Pandora can shake the ground, but since now you're working together even on that, it will be difficult to choose :P
Anyway, tlaero, as many before me have already said, you create the best characters. Sure it is a porn game, but when I play it I'm not into it just to see random boobs and pussies, I'm into the story, and I want to know more about the protagonists. Well, I'm also in for the nudity, of course :p .
And thats where Mortze comes in.
My god the pictures. I can see why it took you guys so long to release this game, but every minute was worth it. The realism of what I saw was unbelievable. And of course I can only praise the way Mortze channel emotions through the images.
Still, I have to admit that I do prefer RfJ as a game for the overall story and also for Jessika per se, but that doesn't mean that this is bad at all. It's a "Return of the Jedi" to a "Empire Strikes Back" kind of deal (just to stay in a Star Wars mood).
I'm also really intrigued by the story and I can't way to see how it continues.
I kinda hope that someday we will be able to play as a girl, maybe in one of the sequels?
I'll put in spoiler the next part
Even if I'm not that into anal sex, I have to admit that the ending scene was well written and It was realistic. But I sure hope to see some female solo action in the next ones :P

Thank you guys again for this.

I let decay for some days … I can write now what I think of the game.

The game itself is wonderfull: story, graphics … everything is wonderfull.

I only write things below because it seems authors love feedbacks, but all following are minor points:

* I don’t personally like playing in the same game the “aggressive” and “timid” path. But I felt the same in DwE, I think is just me as other players see it as a way of broadening the choices.
For the records I liked much more the RfJ way, where the “aggressive” path lead to different ending.

* I read all the concerning about “gameplay” on Pat site, I think T&M nailed it in term of playability

* I was against animations in the game, I prefer more pictures … but the one in THIS game made me change my mind. Stunning, really …

* Some rendering are razor sharp, some other seems a little bit grainy, like a high-ISO photo. I do not know if is intentional or not

* Playing with 4 different type of PG (timid/aggressive widover/cheated) makes me repeat a lot of dialogue, which was kind of annoying.
Of course now I realise that since there was 4 possible dates (low-key, moto, ice, cross) it would have much more sense to me to play one date for every playthrough. But before I realise it al already used a save slot to play 3 dates out of 4.
Maybe a “date unlock” would have “guided” me better.
I mean only playing as aggressive widower in the “first” date unlock the “cross date”.
Have no idea how much coding this require … maybe too much

* At the end of the game I asked myself: did Lucas really found Miranda?
the answer was not clear to me, Lucas met an incredible woman that woke up from coma with a fantastic mix of Asperger and low latency inhibition syndromes (a combination of dr. House, Sheldon Cooper and Michael Scofield respectively) that is kind of struggling to deal with herself.
It happens that Lucas was the right guy in right place at right time saying right things … so at the end is like SHE found Lucas as someone that can “stand” her and maybe fix a little parts of her problems.
So Lucas was a “kind of solution” to Miranda problems … and so I can see that she does not give a damn about Lucan being timid or aggressive.

At the end of this too long post I write my main complain.
It has already been said, so I do not want to annoy anybody but is difficult to me to stand the usual dose of rape, violence, brutality and bestiality.
It happens every time there’s a scene in an italian restaurant … but I guess I have to live with it.

Well is sound strange because I was under the impression that authors does like Italy with all the monuments like … just to name one … Ara Pacis.
Italy was also once considered the land of the roman god Saturn … or to say it in latin “saturninae tellus

I think the title 'Finding Miranda' is actually more about she trying to find herself than a guy actually finding her

Since some people have just praised Mortze's work, I want to say that my favourite visual scene in FM is
the foodcourt thing. I mean, there's a blind woman she knows trying to disarm a gunmen just a few steps behind her, but Miranda keeps focused on drinking her coke with a straw as if nothing were happenning. I found that really hilarious, I could easily imagine she was even making that annoying sound when the can is almost empty and you're actually blowing air instead of drinking. Her attitude, words and facial expressions in that part of the scene are so funny that you really realize something's absolutely wrong in his mind. No wonder she eventually had to ask Lucas afterwards if that was a normal situation. Love it

I'm sorry, I don't understand this. Are you talking about the Tortellini?

nyet tortellini,

unfortunately Mortze ran out of black during a render. Maybe it was night, all the (photo)shops were closed and he was in desperate need to finish Miranda in time.

So he took a random image from a sculpture (it's not a sculpture but I have no idea how to translate "bassorilievo)" taken from the Ara Pacis.
"Ara Pacis" is the latin for "altar of peace".

Then he change the polarization of the colors to make the white turn into black and viceversa, then he resize the image, not cropping it to avoid cut portion of images, and stick it to an unreferenced image that nobody will see playing the game.

I'm only saying was very kind to him, after all this effort to put such a tribute to Italy in a hidden place risking nobody will notice.

xCooLer2

Ah, for what is worth, the sculpture is called "Saturnia tellus", that's the latin for "land of Saturn"

What does that have to do with "rape, violence, brutality and bestiality"?

Okay, here's a peace offering for the people offended by the tortellini. I've just uploaded an Italian translation for Finding Miranda.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/maidcaieofkctdg/FM.zip

The translation was done (in record time!) by John Milton. Thanks John!

My pleasure

To Italian speaking users:
I'd just like to point out that I used the "," instead of the ":" before conversations.
I know it's not properly correct, but chose to do so because it made the translation easier for me.
I hope this won't be much of a bother for you.

Have fun, it's an amazing game and I made my best to keep it up.

I hope you enjoy this peace offering!

Well, I have a small question.

When we choose to make Lucas a widower, there is a line that I found strange. In the first date, when Miranda is talking with Elsa on the phone, they mention that Miranda helped Jason is some way. Having played DwE multiple times, I didn't catch that. Am I missing something, or it will be revealed later?

The scene that line is referring to hasn't shown up in any game or short story. I may put it in a short at some point, or I may not. We'll see.
