First game was 10 months in the making and Game 2 is planned to be slightly larger in scope.

BUG note: End markers have not been removed from the 0.75 content. They have no effect on the story. Just ignore until the first patch release.

downloaded the new version, and when i got the lotion to give to Gem... going to the roof caused some kinda error, then windows defender kept popping up a notice for malware

It's a very interesting game, overall. The plot got me intrigued. With that said... Did I run out of events? I can't get any further on the Morgan storyline. I think I finished most of the others, but I'm not sure. L:37531711221056

Hiya Shepard

Let me see if I can guide you towards an event.
To unlock further stuff with Morgan you need to work a bit more with Frey first.
Since you have had the first scenes with Frey you just need to continue what you did to unlock those. Surf more porn and once you get clues towards conversations with Frey you should unlock some more stuff with her.
You should also have a hint event in the reception at 21 to lead towards more Lara stuff.
Once those steps are compelete it should open a bunch more stuff.

You are around a third into the game. A lot left to do still :)

I should have kept a better log when I was playing through. Sorry this will be a bit vague. ***Major story spoilers, seriously don't open if you don't want plot spoilers. Nothing exciting inside the tags.***

Noticed at least 2 mistakes with names
Believe the first happened during Scruffy's telling of the college threesome. He said RAIN instead of Rose.

Second happened shortly later (although I know it isn't necessarily all linear). Believe it was in the grotto with Daisy. The text once again said RAIN (as though Rain were the one in the room with us).


Your call on word choice with the ending, but
personally I'd lengthen, or be more vague, with the description of the player's sleep. I believe the wording was along the lines of, "You've been asleep for a couple days."

Considering a monitoring system needs to be triggered (with no timeline, so unlikely massive staffing is waiting with instantaneous readiness). Someone needs to be dispatched to the room. Those arriving need to determine he is non-responsive. They likely need to call in more people (all using non-standard emergency personnel like ambulances and local hospitals); all being presumably somewhat discrete. Determine he is fit for travel. Prepare transportation and medical care and ship him all the way to an island. Then, one imagines he likely doesn't go through all of that without waking up, only to wake the instant he is placed in a luxury suite and everyone clears out. He's probably been on the island for at least, or more than, the couple days.

A bit nit-picky perhaps. It just made the ending seem a bit off for me. Just saying, "You've been asleep for a while," would make it easier to take in. (Granted, it's quite possible that a great deal of money/resources have been devoted to this project and there was a plane fueled and waiting every second of every day. If that's where the plot's going, so be it.)


For future games:
The game is a ton of fun, but the frequent need to hunt for events really brings down the enjoyment level. It's the only big negative I see in this game. Too often the game reaches a point where the only way to progress is stop doing everything and spend every hour of an entire day walking into and out of every single room (and the player can't even do regular tasks like working, as this will force skipping of timeslots he needs to check. So add on the need to save-scum while doing this tedious task). That's the one feature that I hope doesn't carry through to the sequels.

Solutions would be:
1. Make it so that working in a room during the trigger hour causes the event to happen. What I mean is, if an event is going to trigger at 10 in the lobby, if I go to the lobby at 8am and type 'work', then have the game check every hour for event triggers in that room until my work is finished. Working in the lobby starting at 8 causes the game to find and start the 10 event. Therefore, players can continue to do their work about the hotel, just needing to vary which rooms they work in from day to day.
2. Change the "check display" manager so that it always has at least 1 task. Basically something along the lines of creating a "main story line" task. i.e. "Zoe's likely to have something for you to do at 13 at reception;" "Cook more food for staff meals;" "Earn more money." Whatever happens to be needed to unlock the next event, just keep something in that manager.
3. Change tasks so that manager gets a step-0 event. Right now players wander around until someone gives them an event. The task is then added to the manager and a step-1 event is listed. When step-1 is done, either the event is finished or a step-2 event becomes listed. That initial talk to the person is the 0-step event. As soon as it is available to the player, put it in the display manager. I'm perfectly fine having no events available and simply needing to grind through some typical work days doing my job and earning money. Every few days of game time calling "check display" and seeing if something new has been unlocked (if yes, try to start that event chain; if no, go back to typical days working until yes).

I'm sure there are others, but those are the first that come to mind.

I will add the bugs to the next patch and will also look at your suggestion in the spoilers. It makes sense to slightly word it better.

Regarding event triggers I am looking into a slightly different system for Game 2 that will make sense in that context. With what I have learned making this game it should lead to a more streamlined game. That is the hope at least.

I am looking into different flow improvements in Game 1 as well. Some of what you mention, but am still in some cases bound by what I can do with adrift. Adding more hints to the display is the first step for some of the larger holes in progression. I am fully aware of the problems with event hunts and I will give it a once over. Sadly there are some things I can't change without forcing the players to start from a new save, so there are things on my list that will have to wait until a "gold edition".

This could be blocking some of the other stuff.

First of again, I am talking as a player not as a mod here, don't you people forget that.

Without further ado

Graphics
Most pictures are good quality and seem to fit, pretty well. Personally i would have loved
2 great sexy looking wedding dresses
and a less blurry
Frey in the shower, wank time.
picture and maybe you could have added for some scenes gifs instead of pics. But that's extra work.
Also I can't help, but feel that 3d images would have been better, no limitations on the scenes, no puzzling on girls. Just that. Specially considering Himeros is going to be a trilogy like you said. I know
himeros 2 is 10 years in the future on a minimum
, but still it might work

Story
The story, was decent, 1 of the few things that kept me going. And some plot twists where insane
Fuck rain - > rain your cousin -> guilt -> not cousin -> sex
and the
Uncle is 100 years (if I remember correctly), was a bit insane for my taste, but i might love it.
Also what were you thinking Setz?
Himeros 2 ,10 years in the future, should have made that 20. I want to see my sexy biological daughter i have impregnated Celeste with.


Gameplay
At first, the gameplay was okay: Work, eat for energy, sleep, other things and repeat, but at one point one is done. Specially on making money.
You need 2500 in the end
, but even if i went for all the cost in the game, i still had money to spare. So at one point nothing to do, except walking through the hotel every hour, until i find a event. And unless a guide is written, many will do this and many players will get annoyed. See my macro viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3632&start=705#p99984 and with that i don't need to eat really.

Choices: they currently have no value in game, except for "future"games like you said, but how many playing the first game will play the second ( I will), how many new players when they see the 2nd game will go play the first. Or better do they have to? Have you thought about a default setting. Or maybe something to alter choices they made, cause i don't think people are going to be to happy to grind out every possible outcome. Will new players of the second, get the lore?

I missed my favorite commands: X tits, x ass, rub tits, rub ass, rub pussy, lick pussy. You get my drift.

Puzzles, so little interaction in the game. Drop some more puzzles
tome was a decent one, but had really nothing to do with "this" game.
Let people find notes for a perfect cocktail have them go to the bar, no bar area!!! and make the perfect cocktail, for a certain alcoholic early game. Find clues for other things, like finding some girls panties
with a Z on it after 18:00 in the basement, i guess she forgot it, but what was she doing there.

Money like i said useless, there is a market. Instead of skipping time, have access all time and let the player buy stuff with HIS earned money

Locations, most locations had no real point. Male showers? Don't need them cause i stink, i don't need to shower after hours of training. Let me shower, let me train even after max, give me a scene where Taylor or Gem or anyone, comes down in the shower with me.

Events locked, cause other events haven't progressed. Even if sometimes i can't tell why it is. Maybe for next game, have events based on stats, we had the money, sex, energy stats. Sex which made no sense. Max energy can be trained, so why no other stats. Like girls stats. With X display instead of a empty quest list all time it could have shown Zoe 77/100 for example and for girls which were unknown ??? . Could even cap them to 25/100 and have the player first unlock a event before it continues.

small suggestions, mostly repeated.
- Like Redle said, let us not search for events, let us find them and If time = 7, if girl stat = xxx, if command is eat = blowjob by Zoe under the table, Scruffy walks in and doesn't see anything
- For himeros hotel, i think 4 time parts could have been better. instead of 24 hours, have morning, afternoon, evening, night. And eating and small events would not skip time, but for example working and training would.

Still i loved the game, good first piece Setz.

Another great review and in most cases I agree with everything Skel said. I will go over some of the points below.

Graphics: Again spoilers here. Don't open unless you have finished the game.
I have added the blurry one you mentioned and there are some other pictures that I am looking for replacements for. Once I find something that fits I will add them to the final version.
Regarding the dresses. Two factors play into that choice. The first is the fact that I could not find good fitting pictures of those two models in those kind of dresses. The second factor was that the event was not the kind that would need them to dress in a traditional outfit...the choice for this won't be explained before game 3. Sorry.

Regarding using 3D vs. real models is something we have talked about before and yes some choice could have been different if I could have modelled everything on my own, but I would still be working on 0.25 if that was the case. As mentioned last time it was brought up, the plan is to look into a full 3D conversion for the gold edition. If we ever get to that :)

Story:
I am happy if a couple of my story twists hit home and the player was surprised a couple times during the story.
There is a specific reason for the amount of time that passes until game 2. See game 2 for more info :)


Gameplay:
Also a subject we have been over a couple of times. Regarding work tasks, time spent, money earned and what to buy.
From a design perspective this was an impossible balance act. The game has no time limit. There is no failure state.
That leads to some players to earn an "insane" amount of money and have nothing to buy with it.
I decided to balance the costs around a player doing as little work as possible. This would lead to a playthrough where you sometime had just enough money to buy the next upgrade or you had to work a little to catch up. That puts your game between 50-75 days played.
As you mentioned you can use a macro to "work" the game. This will remove money as part of the gameplay and that is fine since it is the players choice, but you can't complain about having nothing to do with the money when you do this.
Again I fully understand the issue and I just wanted to explain my choice for the economy.

Choices:
They have very little value in this game as you mention. There are 2-3 things that are different in game 1.
Game 2 and 3 will have a default state if they players has not played the first one.
Here is a major point about these games from my point of view. If you do not enjoy the story of the first game I do not expect you to play game 2 or 3. They are very very linked and could have been one game if not for the length and differences the gameplay will have in the 3 games.
The intended goal of the choices was to setup a "unique" world for the player. It was about fun and flavor. You should never feel like you need to grind through game 1 to see every outcome. You will be disappointed if you do.

Adrift favorit commands:
Not the game I wanted to make. It won't be a sex simulator. It is a story with a large amount of sex scenes. 40+ sex scenes. Every scene was part of the story I wanted to tell with that specific girl(s). I know there are a lot of AIF games that pride themselves on interactive sex, but in my personal opinion having a you fail a sex scene because you didn't rub the right part the right amount of ways before moving on to the next part is the worst kind of trial and error. (Very personal taste. More power to them.)

Puzzles:
I had more puzzles planned, but the large amount of feedback with stuck players did not lead into adding more. You can please some and not others.

Some good points about having a shop and adding cameras. Might still do some of that.

Locations and more stats:
Most of these choice are based on a hunt for realism. That the L: number is still on the interface was not intended but it will help stuck players so that is fine. The locations are there because they have to be. You never enter the female showers, but it is there on the map because it has to be.
The task list was an okay solution as every task could be imagined as something the player or the other staff added to it. Adding stat trackers for RPG stats would not make any sense in the world.

Changes going into the future:
Game 2 will be very different from a gameplay perspective. Some of the things brought up here will be fixed and I am sure some other things will pop up. I have learned a lot and I hope that the next one will show some of that.
