That's incorrect. I have no particular feeling for the dude.

I don't want to play the grammar nazi here but you should have said "you ARE like the dude" and not "yo like the dude". The second leads to a much different interpretation :p

Thank you Itpika. That will all be kept. With the adding of Tlaero's touch.

That's good, I don't want the characters to change. I find Maggie and the others more realistic than the typical game characters who turn into bad porno characters who'll do anything after having a few drinks.

<confused> Are you saying you think Elsa and Jessika are like that? One of the reasons I started writing games is I didn't like the "get her drunk to get her into bed" meme.

Tlaero

haha, don't be so sensitive Tlaero, he is just comparing Pandora with "typical game characters" Elsa and Jessica are not typical game characters, they are also special...like you ;)

Brontozaurio was correct. I suspect based on your comment you already know which site's games I'm talking about.

Edited to make it crystal, no fluff

Well, this was in response to the announcement that I'd be taking over writing duties on Pandora...

What I really love about Pandora is that the story is an adventure. You are in a ship to in order to find something important and meanwhile you seduce girls. Most of the games are otherwise. You try to seduce a girl and meanwhile something happen .. or not.

Oh jeez. It was was at the tail end of his last sentence. I was continuing the discussion of why I liked his writing. I like some games more than other games, it ain't a crime. I might not like movies that other people like. Aren't we all entitled to our own opinions?

Worth mentioning -- while the english in Pandora part 1 was a bit rocky in places (no offense meant), it actually fit the characters/setting fairly well. As I understand it, many/most of the characters were speaking english as a second language. For those characters, slightly rocky english is completely in character. I'm not sure that you should clean everything up to native speaker level.

That is actually a very good point. I'll keep that in mind.
But the issue was that the "rocky" english was for every character, when there are characters that speak perfectly english. Kean is from England, as are Maggie and her family and Mickael, Kaori from the USA, and Nikki speaks perfectly english.
The "not so good english speaking" characters are the others.
And, of course, the narrative, explaining what's happening, should be in a correct english.
