EVERYONE, re the maid outfit:

I had the same problem. She would always take it off after dancing in the club. You only need 2 drinks in her to be able to buy the maid outfit so playing R/P/S is not necessary. But drinks only at the restaurant, no food. You can't be in a hurry to get to the club. After you buy the maid outfit, take her all around town & go to the club last. She will then be more than happy to go home with you wearing the maid outfit. The choices you make at the club don't matter.

You need to spend some time with her, make her feel good, get to know her better. Sabotage the office & get a kiss. You need to think of this as a real date. If you rush things too much, you won't get what you want.

Hi Felix,
I recommend you just use plain old GNU Emacs. Free software, runs on any platform, knows about regular expressions since 1983, and there is hardly anything you cannot do with Emacs.

But this was already said by quite a few of the fellow members...
So, being the black sheep of the gang, I'm going to ask you to please... please change the colour in the messages at the bottom of most of the screens! The background being black you should choose white, yellow and/or something lighter for being readable without effort. Otherwise you could get pursued in court for being responsible for an eyes disease... ;)

I would treat those "uh Erana, you surely have browser roubles as in mine the right button works perfectly" as a bug report that, in some browsers, your javscrïpt does not work as intended

Besides, as someone else mentioned, we're playing this game for FUN, because if we just wanted to see the pretty pics, we could make a slideshow... Please, those who are annoyed at it, consider the above hack as an alternative to "preview.app" :)

@Chaotic: Yes, I've whacked you over the head with a wet towel because of that scrïpt, twice: but, other than that, it seems like a good game, with great graphics. Just remember that none of my critics is intended to get you to quit doing games, but to point what could be improved. I can see by the ammount of work you had with the faces that you DID value some of my advices enough to follow some them. Please, regard this "don't annoy the players" critic as another constructive criticism. Even if it implies wet rolled towels. ;)

@Chaotic, I agree with Trucia about the color of the choices at the bottom of the screen, they're very hard to read. Yellow would be a good choice.

There are some minor English errors (eg, loose instead of lose, your for you're) in the game. I can help ensure the English in your next game is correct. If you are interested, pm me.

Also, you should include a message that the game can't be played with IE and the player needs Firefox or Opera.

But these are minor problems in a great game with excellent graphics.

Chaotic: If I can make a point of critic (I didn't fully play the game yet, no time heh) - the white dress looks sometimes like she is wearing a plastic hollow tube instead of a dress.

I would like a remake of these pics in a later version, if you have the time...

I just will stop trying to play this game! Offline I have only one trial, then "I've been already at this place", online, while waiting for the next picture, the connection is suddenly interrupted. What a pity, It seems to be a nice game!

60novice, I experience the same problem while playing the game with opera browser,and I do belive we have allready established that the game is not working as intended in IE, however in firefox things are fine. Don't give up bud, I am sure that chaotic will come with a solution to this.

I assume that you off course have allready have shut down the browser and used the begin button to play the game.

Thanks for all your reports and suggestions.

Just a quick warning first for those attempting to bypass the no backspace scrïpt. It isn't just there to make the game more challenging, for some parts it's also necessary. Doing certain things twice may crash the game or get it confused.

If you haven't noticed, there is a minor upgrade to the site including a small walkthrough. It should help some people if they're getting nowhere.

For those having trouble at the club, you need three levels of 'influence' and two levels of 'drink'. In other words, give her two drinks and do three things to impress her and you should be fine.

Finally, for those of you not using Firefox, for the most fun playing this game I cannot encourage you to download and install it enough. It's free and it's not that big.

Chaotic, the point is not the scrïpt disabling the backspace. The point is the scrïpt disabling the right button and the context menu. Because, you know, they are used for more things than to backspace... actually, I can't fathom why you included them, given that you already have a perfectly good no backspace scrïpt in use.

Changing matters... I find interesting the way you have coded the game with usage of scrïpts and cookies. I rather like the code, actually. I have a sugestion (well, two) to fix the cookies not properly clearing problems that are afecting the game (rather heavily, actually). Sugestion one is to get rid of cookies and store the variables data in... wel... javascrïpt variables (duh! Capitan Obvious to the rescue!) Cookies are more useful for things that have to remain in your hard drive betwen games, like the savegames of the "spell for all" game. But for things that are likely to be done several times with quick-changing values, cookies have the risk of not clearing properly, as you might have noticed by the complains :)

The second sugestion is a stopgap measure, since the first one would need an overhaul of the game: put a cookie-clearing code in BOTH all starting pages before the actual date, and in ALL the end-game pages (incidentally, a "let's try again" link in those would be nice!)

Oh, and... since your first game had no code and this one does have it... welcome to the wonderfully funny magical world of coding :)

Graphics, really good. Almost all of them. Well, except for the face during cowgirl sex, which is kindda scary. As in, "real, really, hug-me-I'm-afraid boogey(wo)man scary". Hey, I had my fae ears twiching in shock!

Storyline / gameflow: I also like it. A bit short but the idea is interesting. It like it's a departure from the "branched lineal paths" of other games. I also like the fact that it's very easy to expand upon this one. Kudos on that.

What have you been trying to do Erana? Why do you need the right click?

As for the variables, wouldn't I have problems keeping the values over multiple pages? The concern was one of the main reasons I went with cookies.

I was tempted to say "a sorceress doesn't tell all her tricks" instead of "tree-branching to quickly test the game flow" and "telling my Firefox add-ons to quit treating your cookies as spyware", but then I... succumbed to temptation and said it anyway ;) Notice that all of those things (including the tree-branching) I could also do from the menus, but having to do it was annoying. Which was my point.

Well, the Ariane game does use that system, so you can see it DOES work.
