Thank you for playing Giles' Journey and commenting. Player actions have consequences; some are good, some not.

EDIT: Regarding the dragon slayer woman, DaRoot (one of my most reliable Beta-testers) suggested the same thing. ;)

I found a video playthrough of one of the routes. The guy who voiced it is funny.

There have been over 6000 downloads of the VN, thank you!

Quick question for those who have played this.
Did you play it enough to get two or more of the 'sexy' endings?
A 'sexy' ending includes one where Giles dies after the encounter.

Found a bug in the HTML version.
To get full scene with Rosalind apply the following patch to project.js:

The data is the same in the HTML version as the original one, so we'll have to ask fleet. What I can immediately see is that page-uid "5675" doesn't exist so there must be something bogus at least there.
@fleet: Is it a bug?

Well, if you check my patch you'll see that there are actually two corrections, one is replacing the non existing page-uid with the correct 7987 (which just fixes an issue with the 'she touches him' choice to display the correct movie), but the other change, is more important as it corrects the goto jump target for the 'Giles elopes with Rosalind' ending.

Without my patch when Giles elopes with Rosalind it automatically jumps to the penetration movie and then to the ending, with my patch it jumps to the beginning of that scene where both are still dressed, kissing, hug then undressing and then the player is presented a choice of 'he touches her' or 'she touches him' after which the penetration scene will start.

To me jumping immediately to the penetration scene after 'Giles elopes with Rosalind' is to sudden and some pictures and movies are never displayed in this case although they are part of the package. To me it makes more sense to develop the tension between the two of them after they eloped.

Before I forgot, big thanks to you kexter for converting the game to html/js. Hope you'll find the time to convert some more (I know you already converted 5 games from fleet).

The visual novel is still playable with the bug.

I went back and looked at the raw game data before I compiled it for the Windows release (which kexter converted to html with my permission).
There were two typos, one where I forgot to include a destination in a branch command (I assume that is the page-uid "5675" doesn't exist) and one where I had a typo in a go to command (the second one was the one that caused much of the
Rosalind elopement
scene to be hidden).

I do not know how to add lagoonfish's patch to the project.js file.
If kexter is willing to patch the project.js file and send me a link to a zipped version of it, I will upload the VN to the sites where I host my work.
As always, do not upload my work to other sites without my approval.

A big thank you to lagoonfish for finding the bug.

Very respectfully,
fleet

Sure no problem, PM sent.

@lagoonfish:
Yeah, I forgot to thank you for finding the bugs and actually looking into them and tracking them down. Nice work, and thanks for the diff!

@fleet

Thanks for creating and sharing the game. I Really enjoyed it, this one is definitely one of the best games from you!
Fantasy theme is great (too pitty there's no way to makeout with the red head elve too)

@kexter
Thanks again for conversion work and for applying my patch, the rest of the game should be ok according to my testing.
If you convert another game from fleet and need testers, drop me a line ;-)

The red head elf is the main character in "The Adventures of Marigold the Elf" (currently available only on Windows).

@kexter,
PM received, file downloaded, work in progress.

All, I'll announce when the corrected version is available. If you liked Rosalind, you'll love seeing more of her with Giles. ;)

Very respectfully,
fleet
