Vera Blanc and the Island Phantom (MAC, Linux, windows)

This is a fan made visual novel. Although it contains sexually explicit scenes, It is not a fuck-fest; my purpose is to tell a story.
This is an update to a previously released visual novel, with new graphics and videos. The basic story is unchanged.
(Converted to cross platform version using techniques developed by kexter.)

Take on the role of Vera Blanc, a beautiful young woman who, after brain surgery, gained the extraordinary ability to read other people's minds!
Daughter of Emmanuel Blanc, one of the richest people on Earth, Vera left her life of luxury to use her powers to work alongside paranormal detective Brandon Mackey. Be immersed in the world of the supernatural as you play the detective!
Follow Vera and Brandon to a Caribbean island to investigate a phantom guarding a fortune in gold.
Will you be able to solve the mystery?
The game ending you get depends on choices you make. Game play includes a challenging mind reading mini-game.

This visual novel is an original story based on the "Vera Blanc" character, created by Winter Wolves Games (permission has been granted to use the character). Familiarity with the Vera Blanc characters is not required. Characters are introduced at the beginning of the game (the player has the option to skip the introduction).

If you enjoyed this Vera Blanc game, check out "Vera Blanc and the Silver Mine Specter", "Vera Blanc and the Carpathian Horror" and "Vera Blanc and the Witch of White Springs." Links to all are available here at the lagoon.

I'm glad you like it.
If you fail or skip the first mind reading mini-game, you'll get a slightly different ending.

Chrome marks the downloaded file as potentially malicious and recommends discarding it

Can you comment on that?

Hello.
Yes, I can comment. Since the game is meant to be downloaded and played, the zip file contains an exe file. That is why Chrome doesn't like it.
I just finished using Chrome to download it, and received the same message as you did. I told Chrome to keep the file, and then I scanned it with Comodo. It came up virus free.

Very respectfully,
fleet

I enjoyed this game, I really liked the hangman style mini game and wished there was more opportunities to read minds in the game but I also understand you don't want people to get fed up of it.

I wasn't really sure about the map, it seemed unnecessary as you only ever seemed to have a choice of two places to go and I found myself clicking on every location before being told "You have no reason to go there now" each time. I feel it could have been easily replaced with a choice presented by the other character as "Do you want to go to X or Y?".

Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed Island Phantom. Some people hate the mind reading mini-games.
I'll keep your comment about maps in mind for future visual novels.

Hello, thank you for asking. I'm not currently working on any new stories, but will probably write more sometime this year.
By bigger story, do you mean more playing time per story branch, or more endings (branches)?
If you want more playing time, what would be desirable?
