I like that latest one but I'm rather uncertain about the shadows and reflections - there appear to be too many shadows for probable light sources and for some reason there seems to be a clear reflection image from the wall(?!!). Surely the main source of light should be from the Venetian blind covered window with perhaps one or two minor artificial sources.

I think the picture is fine, Craban, you've done a good job cluttering up the set to make the location feel a bit more lived in... And the girl ain't that bad to look at either!

I'm talking about the image on the wall in the corner to the left of her. It's a wall not a mirror, and rather than a shadow one of the images is practically a clear projection.

I don't know how the lighting was set up or what the ray tracing software was told was reflective, but there's something screwy about the resultant image.

[no]It looks to me like there are only two sources of light, besides any ambient lighting, one from inside the room above the girl. The second is outside, closer to the horizon and is projecting the shadow of the blinds and the girl onto the left wall.[/no]

Okay, yeah, the lighting is a bit weird. She's either translucent, or space-time has been distorted.

Our universe is still in good shape. The sharp shadow on the back wall (left hand side in the image) is because of one of the spotlights and I put them there because the main light source would have been too hard. The indirect light alone is not enough with one light source and results in a flat image. Here I used six light sources. In this case I may have better soften the shadows more.

As you see I'm still very much in experimenting
