Ahh! épée is the modern derivative of the dueling sword, the smallsword (itself descended from the rapier, used in sport fencing). Épée is French for "sword".

While taking notice of both models, is that the condition of the vehicle after all of those escapades?

I suspect that it is afterwards as the girl, while still looking amazing, appears to have shed some kilos after her adventures but the car still has a pristine shine!

I had no idea of the movie but with the hint of the reg. plate a search on google offered a trailer.

The trailer I saw didn't really show enough of the girl to make a judgement of her size, but still gave the impression that she was no lard butt.

As for the car, to look like that after its filmed adventures it must have gone through more lives than those of the feline purrsuasion.

Talking about swords. Elena uses only one. This old thing is the first sword her foster father gave her. He was a bandit chief who saved her from a slave caravan his gang was raiding when she was but a girl.
Elena has refused to get a better one even if it looks like it is ready for a museum, soooo Lilith applied some magic to it when Elena wasn't looking.

Lilith wanted to make sure her beloved companion was around to be beloved. Only Lilith knows what the magic does, but Elena is wondering why she never needs to sharpen it anymore.
And had she let other fondle with it, she would probably wonder why only she would be able to draw it from the scabbard.
