I am unable to see Shark's settings for "Pilot Fish" but I would imagine that Shark has allowed viewing of "attachments", you are the first to my knowledge to raise this [and you are correct that Il Joker is posting images as "attachment"]. Silly question time. The last two pics il joker posted had the following hi-lighted in pink: "You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post."

How does one acquire the required permissions? After all, fine art is better appreciated when it can be seen.

Pilot fish are indeed not allowed to see attachments. I just made the transition to Sirens Hunter, and Tadaaa! Santa was there.

I used the following FAQ answer to figure this one out:

Why can't I create a new topic?

All Newly Registered Users are forbidden from creating new topics. To become a Registered User, you must post at least 10 replies. This rule is to prevent SPAMMERS from posting new topics. Please note, that SPAMMING replies to become a Registered User, may get you banned from the forums.

True, Pilot Fish may not be allowed to view attachments, but I cannot understand how viewing any image, attachment or otherwise can be associated with spamming. There obviously is something in place as to who can post attachments but to view them? I'd like to understand this matter from Shark, it may be just an oversight when declaring various rights/privileges/permissions.

This is the first I've heard anything like this. Perhaps a recent change by the host or Shark. Thanks for the alert.

It was more the 10 posts remark that guided me to knowing how to get my attachments, but I wanted to have that warning about spamming posts in there for Joe Pizza. It would be a shame to cause someone to get banned by my advice.

Anyways, I see that Shark has fixed the issue, so all should be well now.

Thanks for your concerns and contributions bosbrand. You confirmed my Pilot Fish theory. Ultimately, the problem was troubleshot to a point which gave Shark enough info to fix the issue. Everyone now gets to see attachments so all artwork can be appreciated. Life is good.
