Concept Art

I've been considering making a short game with tlaero's adventure creator tool using one or more of these female characters. I'm fairly new to Daz3d and 3D art in general, so I figured I'd drop off a few renders here and see if some of you guys could give me some feedback on the characters/lighting/etc. For reference, both of these images were created in Daz Studio 4.8 and rendered with Iray. Let me know what you think.

Bar Scene

Bedroom

(Had to link to images because of size).

I think it is a great idea.
I really liked the face features of the barista girl.
Go for it, and if you need help don't hesitate!

You're off to a good start. The bar scene, in particular, is pretty complex (lots to set up) and looks good. I'm also a fan of making your first game a short one. Go for it. If we can help you with figuring out AC, let us know.

Thanks for the support everyone.

@bartux Not exactly sure on the storyline yet, still in the pre-planning stages. I'm thinking probably something like "a day in the life of" genre, just not sure who's life the day will be about. I'm a big fan of movies/stories involving organized crime so I'll probably try and find a way to incorporate that.

@skelaturi The original name for that image was "Cheers".

I like the pictures.

Does not the the first letter of the word "gelezis" on the second beer dispensing equipment have to be a capital letter like the G in "Gundai" on the first.

Some time has passed. Do you have started to create your game?

I like the bar scene. You can see the black board behind the girl. I'm sure the last 2 blue lines on the blackboard are saying "Last Call 2am NO exceptions". Then you've got an American Football game in the background. Reminds me of a local bar and its typical of many american bars. It's not surprising now to see bars serving brews with unusual names with all the microbreweries getting popular. For instance, my friend just told me that his favorite bar moved Budweiser to the corner and in the middle of the tap is Crooked Fence and Woodland Empire.

Love the bedroom, the colors, textures. It's memorable and it's unique. The lighting is spectacular and the concept is all kinds of nifty distinctive.

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name.

Although it's been a while since I've logged in here I figured I'd address your questions in case you're still interested. That bar set (or more accurately parts of it) are actually from a set that someone else created and textured. I thought about switching out the textures on the taps to "Americanize" them, but didn't actually get around to it before doing that test render. All that's a long way of saying I'm not sure why "gelezis" wasn't capitalized while "Gundai" was, as I did not make the textures myself.

As to the actual game, I started to make it, then decided that I didn't like the story at all and threw it out. Started a second, completely different story only to realize that I don't really have the 3D assets that I would need to make it work. Then I got pretty busy with other things going on in my life and put game development on pause. I'm starting to outline a new story now and may try to get reacquainted with DAZ and Adventure Creator to make a mini-game in the near future.

The new storyline I'm working on is based around the adventures of a male protagonist (currently named Rory). It takes place in a fantasy setting and will hopefully be following this character over a number a "adventures". I have some intro/background scenes worked out fairly well and rendered so now I'm trying to figure out how to use AC all over again.

Here are a few scenes that I made to give an idea of characters/setting (though the girls from my previous renders will likely end up being used somewhere in this game as well).
