There is a lot of free poser/daz stuff at the following sites. Almost everything listed as usable in Poser can be used in DAZ Studio

sharecg
poserverse
renderosity
evilinnocence
mostdigitalcreations
poserdirect
nerd3D
optitex-dynamiccloth
DAZ3D - EDIT: they now require you to BUY something in order to get the free models
the store at faeriedreams also has some free stuff

Some of the above sites also sell stuff. I do not have a financial affiliation with any of these sites.

I started with Poser but switched to Daz because I like it better. Others have done the opposite. You should start with Daz because it's free. If you really get into it, you can always buy poser later. Of course, the money you'd spend on Poser might better be spent on models and clothes...

There is quite a lot to learn. Maybe some of our "wizkids" could suggest some youtube video tutorials to further get you started.

You might want to consider going to the DAZ New User forum.
http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewforum/97/

The DAZ 3D web site has video tutorials.
Here's the link.

Fleet, I've just begun looking at the second link that you offered.
I don't know that I'll ever get to publish anything but from the first videos I've seen they look better than some of the intros I've seen.

To be fair, if you're not the best at 3d modeling, you could always use something else. I think Dakutis used one of those 3D sex simulators for Aaron's Life. Would cost money for all positions, but just an option for those who can't do the modeling themselves :/

yeah, I thought about that, and while I was willing to pay for the game, the price for the community stuff didn't seem fair to me...
