Best place for adult stuff like genitalia and poses is Renderotica.
They have the best but it will cost a bit, luckily it is not too expensive.

Also since I have been bold enough to start a game I was wondering if anyone knew a good tutorial for lighting I find my renders just don't look good from a lighting perspective.

Here's an example from some characters I put together, as I said I am still new at this so it is not that great

So what do you folks think of Genesis 2?

I'm not a fan. I really, REALLY liked that Genesis was one model that you could morph between males, females, kids, and monsters. In Genesis 2 they've gone back to separate models for males and females. I don't see a significant difference between what you can do with Gen 2 to justify a new character. Have you folks had better experiences?

I haven't played with genesis2 yet, but what I see about it doesn't really impress me to be honest.

What would be a reason to use genesis2 instead of genesis (except that its the new model and will become mainstream in the future)?

My jury is still out, though I am tending toward being not the greatest fan. Certainly there are pros to G2F, but there are also a wealth of cons. I understand why the feeling of having separate male and female base characters will provide a better end result but. Ok, they added polys to the mesh to enable G2F to be morphed and posed better. Doubtless they will do the same with G2M. Ok the base shapes will be different: centres of gravity will not be the same and so on, but isn;t that what morphs are for? Could they not have added all the polys for both the male and female improvements into the one figure and then used morphs to produce the basic male and female shapes?
Which leads to another of the cons - lack of sharing of core morphs. With Genesis a morph is a morph; regardless of of the end product is going to be male or female you can 'spin-up' fitness details, muscle definition, troll, anything. With two separate figures it looks like we're going to need two sets of morphs. Sadly that will cost more. No longer will it be possible to take a single figure, using a single skin texture (and that's ANOTHER con ...) and do a series of renders changing them from male to female, or vice-versa.

Yeah, I'm not really buying the pros. As you said, it feels to me that anything they could do with different male and female bodies they could have done with morphs on the genesis base. The fact that they did all of their iconic shapes, both male and female, for Genesis suggests that the single base is up to the task.

The G2F morphs were only $16 for platinum club members, but I decided against them. I'm sticking with Genesis.

I'm not interested in paying for Genesis 2. I'm saving my money for scenes, props, poses, and clothing for DAZ characters I already own.

I'm on the fence about Genesis 2. I like the new control and options for facial expressions, and also the added pose ability of the toes. The biggest problem I have with Genesis 1 is that female clothing did not conform well to breasts. Either the unisex clothing clung to boobs like wet T-shirts, or the bridge between the breasts was wonky. Converting from V4 clothes to Genesis just made it worse. I constantly had to use dformers to try and fix it. I also have similar problems with trying to make decent looking genitalia bulges for males. If the Genesis 2 can fix that, I might lean towards it, but I"m not sure it's enough.

Besides, it's already hard enough to find good clothes for Genesis, let alone Genesis 2. Most of my stuff is converted V4 clothing.

My jury is still out. BEW will stick with Genesis figures.
