If you want to use models and pose them then DAZ 3D Studio seems to be the first choice. I use that for my pictures but I'm frequently fighting with the bugs.

I use DAZ Studio also because it's free. I started out just about a year ago and you can see what I am doing with it on my web site. I haven't had any problems with bugs but it is very memory intensive. Anytime I want more than four characters in a scene I have to start looking for work arounds.

I'm curious what version are you using? Once in a while I stumble over a bug and these were confirmed in the DAZ forum. You must be really lucky.

Craban, I'm not saying Daz has no bugs. I'm saying the way I have used it so far I haven't encountered one. Sometimes it freezes but I believe that is a computer memory problem. I have v 3.1.2.24 Free Edition (32-bit).

I use Poser 5 and DAZ Studio 3 Version 3.0.1.135 (32 bit)
Poser to make animationen with inverser kinematic. That is easy for komplex animations. To transfer to Daz i must rebind the invers kinematic. Than you have no problems in DAZ Studio.
The render-engine in DAZ is better then Poser.

I was recently told that my stories would be better if I had some cum shots. As we all know, in the 3d world cum is a prop just like earrings, shoes, panties, etc. You find some on the internet, download to your computer, pose your model and then position the cum where you want it. My problem is I can't get the lighting right. It looks good until the render. Then my cum (that's my computer cum)looks like a solid dark grey candle drip. I have also tried to show some vaginal blood but it comes running down her leg almost black. I keep tryng but so far I have had no luck. Any suggestions from anyone are most welcome. This is a little off topic but I think the op will understand.

I haven't used a 3d prop for cum yet, just a small plane that I attach to a face. It uses a drop texture and a bump map. I found it looks quite OK if the material is a little transparent and won't cast shadows.
Fluids tend to distort the light, bundle or spread light beams so it's not easy to make it realistic. As a fluid in drops there is a highlight point and a dark point but that's only visible in a close-up.
Other than some artists I like a certain degree of realism so I think cum should look more like a fluid not a cream or white foam.

The effect I'm after is what Yamato & Goblinboy has in chapter 4 pg 17 and 18 of Photoshoot. I just can't get the light right.

Well, funny you should ask here, because I am a huge fan of cumshots and I started this thread. (And I've given feedback on your site that I'd like to see more cumshots in your stories).
As it happens, just yesterday i was looking at DAZ to assess it's potential and I was wondering how I would handle making realistic cumshots with that software. I haven't used it at all, but I browsed products and came across Rons milk and Rons suds. To me, a complete know-nothing when it comes to this softward, it seemed like a combination of these two - what are they called - "photoshop brushes" could make some pretty wicked looking cumshots (and I do mean wicked). But I have no idea how lighting would work at all, let alone with these products.
I hope you get some good advice from some of the experts here, though, and I look forward to your next work.

Very of course this does not work. I have also worked with such 'ready products'. The sperm or other spots look just pathetic. Therefore, I renounce, actually, this. Has disfigured with it already several good pictures.

I'm afraid I was writing from the depths of ignorance - I just thought the detailed pictures close up looked fairly realistic, but I have no idea how you go about using them. Ideally any cum deposits would be conformal - follow the contours of any 3D image they were applied to - but I guess one would have to play around with MET001's tool to evaluate it. That's the bugbear of so many of these items, you have to pay before you can play and find out whatever it is lacking.

Are you trying to show the cum shot i.e. it's still in the air? Then it should be a 3D object by itself e.g. a cylinder bended and with varying thickness textured with a water/foam texture and translucent.
